Tina Marshall

Tina Marshall is a Nigerian fast rising Afro-pop and Dancehall Reggae Artist.

Born Augustina Marshall on August 5, 1997 in Abakiliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria,  — professionally known as Tina Marshall and widely recognized by her fierce persona Artically BadGurl — is a rising powerhouse in Afro-pop and Dancehall Reggae. Today, she calls Abuja, Nigeria her creative home, where her bold sound and bold spirit are shaping a new era of Nigerian music.

From the vibrant streets of Port Harcourt, where she spent her childhood, Tina’s life has always been steeped in melody and rhythm. She grew up surrounded by soulful gospel and pop influences — her mother, a gifted singer, was her first inspiration. Music wasn’t just background noise; it was the heartbeat of her world. By age 8, every note she heard sparked a dream — a dream that would soon become her destiny.

Her earliest performances came naturally: singing at school end of the year parties and in the choir in church, Tina’s voice captivated everyone who heard it. It was clear — this was more than a hobby; it was her calling.

Musical Ascent

In 2014, Tina relocated to Abuja to pursue her music career full-time. With grit, grace, and an unshakable belief in her art, she began crafting her sound — a lively fusion of Afro-pop rhythms and Dancehall Reggae grooves that reflect both her heritage and her bold personality.

Her songwriting comes from a genuine place — inspiration drawn from her personal joys and lonely moments alike — and she proudly writes all her own music.

In 2025, Tina released her 5-track EP Girl on Fire, a blazing testament to her talent and range. Her discography also includes infectious singles like “Heart Desire,” “Rich Gurl,” “Wayup,” “Run Away,” “Pot Belle,” and “Me or the Girls.” Collaborations with fellow artists have further elevated her presence, including “OG” with Krysh, “Loving It” with Cigity, and the trending track “One 4 the Road” with Zikky Man.

Her first official releases — “Way Up” and “Slay Mama” — marked the beginning of a journey that continues to ascend with every beat.

Accolades & Influence

Tina’s artistry earned early recognition when she clinched the Abuja Queen of the Mic title in 2017, a milestone that showcased her commanding stage presence and lyrical prowess.

She holds deep respect for fellow artists who push boundaries — citing icons like Davido, Yemi Alade, Spice, and Nicki Minaj as inspirations for her craft and career vision.

Connecting with Fans

Tina’s connection with her fans goes beyond music — she engages with her growing community through social media, live appearances, and the authentic energy she brings to every performance.

Today, Artically BadGurl is more than a name — it’s a movement. With soul, swagger, and a fiery commitment to her sound, Tina Marshall is one of Nigeria’s brightest rising stars — and she’s only getting started.
